Senior Executive Producers
Scott Duffy Network Director
Upon completing his Bachelor’s degree in Broadcasting from the Walter Cronkite School of Broadcasting at Arizona State University in 1995, Scott began syndicating an independently produced talk radio program about computers to land-based stations nationwide. After becoming one of the only people in radio to ever clear an independently produced talk program to over 100 top-tier stations in less than a year, he was given the opportunity to represent a larger stable of talk shows, which included several celebrities and household names. As the FCC deregulated and an industry freeze on picking up new independent programming ensued, Mr. Duffy accepted the position of Executive Producer for a terrestrial network of 50,000 watt stations; identifying talk talent, building and funding shows. After meeting the owners of VoiceAmerica and hearing their idea to create Internet radio, Scott quickly recognized the potential of simultaneous worldwide distribution, and became part of the initial team of Producers here in 1999. He was instrumental in helping the company accomplish its many goals, which included going public. Upon being acquired, he enjoyed a hiatus of sorts and started his own business in 2003, however, missed the excitement of live Internet talk radio and the thrill of building successful shows; and is back again to stay. “The ability to provide my hosts that type of exposure and branding to a decision making demographic just one click away from whatever call to action they seek is incredibly gratifying,” says Duffy. “With the explosion of handheld Internet ready devices, in conjunction with the prevalence of Wi-Fi which is now being installed in cars, the opportunities for myself and my hosts are truly endless. I am excited to come to work every day, knowing there is no limit to what we can accomplish here!”
